Refunds & Cancellation
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy applies to everything you can buy inside the portal: player memberships (monthly or annual) and, for clubs that still have them, single test unlocks. It forms part of our Terms of Use.
The short version: if you change your mind within 14 days of buying, tell us and we refund you in full. After that you can cancel any time and keep access until the period you have paid for runs out.
Your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU; võlaõigusseadus § 56). The period starts on the day the contract is concluded — for us, the day the payment goes through.
The law lets a trader ask you to waive this right in exchange for immediate access to a digital service. We do not ask you to waive it. You get full access straight away and you keep the full 14 days. If you withdraw inside that window we refund the whole amount, and we do not charge you for the part of the period you already used.
How to withdraw
Send an unambiguous statement to skillcard@skillcard.pro from the address on your account, or by post to Skillcard OÜ, Pärnu mnt 40-6, 10119 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. Say who you are and what you are withdrawing from — a sentence is enough. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to.
Model withdrawal form
To Skillcard OÜ, Pärnu mnt 40-6, 10119 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia, skillcard@skillcard.pro:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: ____________. Ordered on: ____________. Name of consumer: ____________. Address of consumer: ____________. Date: ____________.
Sending the notice before the 14 days are up is enough — it does not matter when it reaches us.
How we pay refunds
We refund using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you, without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. Card payments go back to the original payment method through Stripe; bank-link payments go back through Montonio to the account that paid. How long your bank then takes to show it is up to them, usually a few working days.
Cancelling after the 14 days
You can cancel a membership whenever you like under Settings → Membership. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: nothing renews, and you keep full access until then. We do not pro-rate part-used months or years after the withdrawal window has closed, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.
Results that were already unlocked stay visible to you for as long as your account exists, whether or not you have an active membership. A membership is what shows you new results as they arrive.
Single test unlocks
Single test unlocks are a legacy product, switched off for new groups. Where they are still available, the same 14-day withdrawal right applies from the moment of purchase. If the session an unlock was bought for never happens — the test is cancelled, or your club leaves Skillcard before you attend one — write to us and we refund it in full regardless of when you bought it.
When something goes wrong on our side
If the portal does not deliver what you paid for — results never arrive, or a measurement is plainly wrong and cannot be corrected — that is a lack of conformity, and your statutory remedies apply on top of anything on this page. Tell us and we will fix it, or refund the period affected. Your legal rights are never limited by this policy.
Club subscriptions
Club subscriptions are business contracts, so the consumer withdrawal right above does not apply to them by law. In practice we treat clubs the same way for the first 14 days of a new subscription. The rest of the arrangement is whatever is written in the club's agreement with us.
Disputes
Talk to us first at skillcard@skillcard.pro. If we cannot sort it out, EU consumers can refer the matter to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee via the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority, or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
